Volunteering Is A Habit-At Parrone Engineering
June 18, 2009 - A group of employees at Parrone Engineering recently donated their time and handy skills to Rochester's Flower City Habitat for Humanity in order to help build two houses on the city's west side. One of the houses is an ACES (Architects Collaborating with Engineers for Shelter) house. Our group spread dirt to level out the ground for one house and built the second floor of the other house. We are happy to report that there were no self-inflicted injuries at either site!
Parrone Engineering has been heavily involved with Habitat for Humanity and ACES for five years. "Playing a part in giving people the opportunity to change their lives is rewarding and humbling," said Andrea West, our Administrative Assistant and newly crowned Construction Queen. Another group of employees will be volunteering for Habitat for Humanity in late July.
