NAZARETH COLLEGE OF ROCHESTER B. THOMAS GOLISANO ACADEMIC CENTER

B. Thomas Golisano Academic CenterNazareth College took ownership of the historical Sisters of St. Joseph Motherhouse building with the intent to convert it to an Academic Center.  Parrone Engineering was commissioned to develop the site planning, site design, and obtain approvals for the 127,500-square-foot building.  The firm completed multiple concept plans that detailed pedestrian and vehicular traffic around this historical building with provisions for the College’s continued expansion outlined in the Master Plan.  Key elements included the development of a formal entrance that complimented the building and provided the necessary emergency access required by the recently adopted state building codes.  The roadway had to be designed to reduce travel speeds, provide student safety, and afford completion of the campus roadway system.
